　　詞根：gress = go, walk

　　1. progressive

　　助記：pro(向前)+ gress(行走)+ ive(…的)→向前走的→前進的

　　釋義：a. 前進的，進步的

　　舉例：

　　That famous progressive thinker was asked to deliver a speech at the meeting.

　　2. retrogress

　　助記：retro(向后)+ gress(行走)→向后走→倒退

　　釋義：v. 退步，倒退

　　3. aggress
