Laid-off workers, typically regarded as the victims of economicadvancement, are subject to desperation that being unmeployed has brought onthem. but, encouragingly, we have witnessed some of them striving hard torebuild confidence toward life and discover new opportunities for demonstratingtheir values.
Although we cannot choose our appearance, inborn gifts and even avoidunexpected disasters and adversities, we do have the privilege to choose to liveoptimistcally,to love our lives, to have dreams, and to cherish hopes.

All in all， as if our emotions become much stronger， somehow we’realways trapped in circles and struggling against something that can’t be changedanyway. We complain about how fragile our friendship is， how little people knowabout us， how unfair the life is，etc. It seems that every time we fail， we blameit to the tough conditions we’re in， while never notice a problem insideourselves， that we’re never satisfied.
Let’s just imagine that there was an old lady. What she sees was herneighbors’ being mean again while not how kind they were when they took care ofher sick body. What she saw was her dog’s annoying barking while not how muchloyalty it had she saw was always so depressing that it finallyturned her into an unpleasant person. Think about how our life would be if westand in her shoe.

However， I think marks are the sole standard to judge the success or failureof students in exams. Sometimes， marks more than ten or less than one or two inour exams comparing with others mean not everything. The success or failure inexams will be influenced by experience on the spot and the examinee’s healthetc. Once in a while one cannot fail in exams. " Success or failure is commonsense for military. " I think everyone is familiar with the famous saying. Don’tyou think such will be the case with our study? In exams， one cannot be "never-defeated general" . Even though one will be very good in everyday study，he cannot succeed in every exam sometimes. As a matter of fact， "high marks" and "ability" are not unified. Some timeago， a new phrase " high marks but poor competence" came into being. Once Ihappened to meet such a teacher as this is said that the teacher justgraduated from a far-famed key university. But his teaching result is much lessthan that of the one who just graduated from a not-well-renowned college. Whenlecturing， the teacher only repeated what the text-books says， which was verydull so the his students’ interest in learning was not aroused. His teaching wasshort of unity of teaching and learning. At present there is a fact that we knowa few brilliant and top college graduates are not qualified for their posts. Thereason for it may be lack of the ability to combine knowledge learnt from bookswith pragmatics in their work. Students of this kind will be successful in everyexam but they will be able to use freely their knowledge in their posts. Don’tyou think it waste training such persons for the country?
To sum up from the above， I can say marks are not absolutely authoritativefor some. If we neglect training and developing the students’ ability andcompetence and if we only seek for the high marks， we will be absolutely should take an objective attitude towards the marks. Neither should weneglect them nor should we overvalue them like a God.
